Celebration of Happiness (44) – Diwali (India)

"Refresh Your Perspective and Seek the Good In Life!"

A single ray of hope can brighten up the darkest of places. For the lights to shine brightly, there must be darkness and for life to go on happily, there must be hope.

Diwali, the festival of lights, is the biggest festival of the Hindu religion and an awaited event for each Indian every year. The festival is celebrated with great pomp and show with the entire country with each household being cleaned, decorated  and lit up as bright as they could in the hope that good luck will come their way and bring prosperity and abundance.

Diwali is one of the most awaited festivals of India with each person joining in the festivities irrespective of their religions. It is the time of the year when the entire country is bonded in celebration and good will. While the households are lit up, there is a feeling of hope and expectation in each person’s mind that the coming year would be prosperous and will bring an end to all the troubles that each one goes through individually. The festival, which marks the  beginning of Hindu New Year, is a celebration of the faith of the people that good will win over evil and their lives will be free of all the troubles.

Illuminate Your Spirit!

Diwali is not just a festival, but a way of living too. Bring Diwali into your lives ever so often. Clean up your house, your mind and your soul and fill it with rays of hope for a better future. Share some love with others and give someone a ray of hope that brightens their lives too.
